  • 12th Delta IV Heavy launch, first since January 2019 at Vandenberg, first from from Cape Canaveral since August 2018
  • Launch delay from August 26th by customer request, August 27th due to ground pneumatic issues

  • Launching from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center
  • Payload includes Starlink internet satellites

September TBD: Blue Origin New Shepard / NS-13

  • 13th New Shepard launch, 10th commercial flight
  • Launching and landing from Blue Origin’s West Texas facility
  • Blue Origin has not yet announced launch

  • First operational mission for SpaceX and NASA under Commercial Crew Program, second-ever crewed spaceflight on SpaceX hardware
  • Four astronauts will travel to International Space Station for 6 month mission
  • Planned for no earlier than October 23

  • Possible optimizations may allow launch one day sooner

August 4-7, 2020: Astra Rocket 3.1 / Rocket 1 of 3 – SCRUBBED

  • Astra originally planned to launch from Kodiak, Alaska in March for DARPA Challenge before sensor detected issue
  • Now Astra wants to complete a first stage burn and fairing and stage separation
  • Weather and boater scrubbed launch on August 2, weather prevented next attempt on August 3
  • Launch window opens daily at 6:00 PM and closes at 8:30 PM local.

  • Launch attempt at 1:33 a.m. ET from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida
  • Launching tenth batch of Starlink satellites for upcoming internet service and two Earth observation microsatellites for BlackSky Global
  • 60% probability of favorable launch conditions, 70% probability if pushed back 24 hours
